How could I do all these tartan and truly Scottish cushions without adding a simply stunning thistle cushion? This spectacular design of thistle fabric is both eye catching and a stylish patriotic statement. The satin finish on this exquisite fabric really compliments the rugged feel of the wools and tweeds in my other ranges. However it does make it really difficult to capture a photo that displays the thistle cushion in its full glory, especially for a novice like me, so please believe me this thistle cushion will not disappoint.
To complement the plushness of the thistle fabric, I've decadently added plush velvet for the piping and the backing, expensive, but worth it! An exuberance well deserved by the bold thistle and certainly this fabric. These thistle cushions are designed to be statements on their own or a finishing touch to add a bit of glamour to the rest of the Scottish or traditional tartan cushions. These thistle cushions are really impressive and patriotic statements so they only need to be small so I've made them about 13" square.
