Tartan cushions make unique scottish gifts with a tartan twist

New Colours - I've added a few new colours to the range but they only appear in the single photos below for the moment as I'm waiting for the sun to come out so I can take some nice photos without being blown away. As I live in Scotland, it could be some time before new group photos are added but please bear with me.

These luxurious all wool tartan cushions and cushion covers are hand-made in Scotland with authentic Scottish tartans. It goes without saying that tartan cushions provide the perfect finishing touch to a classically themed interior design, but this year top designers the world over are turning to tartan for an up-to-date buzz. It's easy to see why - these vibrant colours provide warmth and zing in a mature and tasteful context. The timeless quality of tartan cushions also lends themselves to the shabby chic trend.

The fashionable rolled fringe feature conceals the envelope opening of the cushion cover and it is filled with a duck feather inner to compliment the quality of the cushion cover. scottie tartan cushions There is also a stylish rectangle tartan cushion with the rolled fringe feature at either end. It measures 16"x12" and makes a real funky statement and an ideal tartan gift. The rectangle cushion is also available with one of my little scotties appliquéd on. The scottie is made from soft fleece and is generally done in black or brown to suit the tartan but please e-mail me if you have a little Westie and you would like it in cream fleece. The last and by far the cutest is my little Totally Tartan Terrier Tam, shaped like a scottie and simply irresistible and such a quirky scottish gift to give someone. This little chap is filled with hollow fibre and cannot be sold unfilled, it just wouldn't be fair.

All my cushions are individually hand made in Scotland. As each one is unique there may be variations in size and pattern. Also the stated sizes are for the cushion covers when flat and can look considerably smaller when beveled with a cushion pad. As a guide, I would say that the small are too small for a sofa but ideal for a neck cushion or a single chair. If in doubt, fold up a newspaper to the specified size and see how it looks.

Finally, don't forget that you can get a throw to match any of the cushions. The wool throw is 137cm x 183cm and have a rolled fringed effect at two ends. They make an ideal tartan gift and used as a wool throw draped over your sofa beside your tartan cushions or as picnic rugs on a summers day, either way these tartan rugs are a must.
